We are leaving HHI around 11ish today and heading to Jacksonsville for a late lunch on the beach and then catching our plane back to MA. It was an amazing spring break with a lot of enjoyable memories :) Reality hits and we are about a little over a month done with this school year. We are taking on Conn. College this Sunday at MHC. Go pioneers!!!!!
Lunch time nonnomnom
We swept the doubles to win the match 8-1! Gianna and Jaimi won 8-5 at #1. Jordan and Clair won 8-2 at #2. Allie and Julia won in dramatic fashion at #3 with a score of 8-6.
Lost our second match of the day 2-7 against University Wisconsin Eau Claire. Bayla and Clair pulled out their singles matches for Smith’s two points. It was a little rough being in the sun all day but we wore lots of sunscreen and made it through fairly unburned (minus Jordan an Robyn).
Finished our first match of the day. Allegheny won 8-1. Three of the singles matches went to third set tiebreakers. Jordan pulled her match out 6-1, 6-7, (11-9) at two singles. Doubles went well with Julia and Allie going to 6-8 at #3.
Gianna, Clair, Jordan, Seema, and Szilvi are back from their mixed doubles tournament with the Allegheny guys. Clair and Frank beat Gianna and Reighr for first place with an impressive volley put-away from Clair. Clair received a spring break Tshirt she has been dreaming of as a prize.
Practice tomorrow 8-10 a.m. to prepare for our doubleheader on Thursday :)
Clair just scared the hell out of me while she was walking into the condo…never have I screamed harder in my life
I have heard you screamed about 3 times already this trip and it’s only...

Update: Gianna, Clair, and Jordan are playing in a mixed doubles tournament on Wednesday with some Allegheny guys. Whole team will be playing mixed doubles on Friday with the Concordia team.
Such a great day yesterday for Smith tennis 2-5 (not finished. Jordan was at 7-6, 1-4 and Clair was at 7-5, 3-3) vs. St. Thomas and a 8-1 win over Wooster. We really played tough even when we were tired in our second match. Today we have the day off and are driving to Savannah to hang out.
Jeeps are really dangerous they will flip if you’re going 80 mph

We had a great practice focusing mainly on doubles strategies but unfortunately it started to rain so we ended a little early. Julia’s mom (Libby) cooked us such a yummy meal for dinner and we had ice pops for dessert :) We are resting now and saving our energy for a full day of tennis tomorrow…check back here with match updates & results later on tomorrow afternoon
We just watched horse races on the beach and soon we are heading to practice…we now have a doubleheader tomorrow yeeee!
